Columbus Girlchoir
A non-profit organization dedicated to developing and training young women in vocal arts.

The Columbus Girlchoir is a nonprofit, choral arts program that offers girls ages 9 to 18 training in vocal technique, choral style, vocal health and music fundamentals. The group's mission is twofold: it stresses a commitment to performing traditional music with understanding and excellence, while offering its members the opportunity to develop friendships with girls from varied backgrounds, and build self-esteem and self-discipline through hard work and dedication.

 A few facts about Girlchoir:

· Membership is by audition and is open to girls in the Golden Triangle Area

· The choirs are supported by member tuition, donations from the community and a mini-grant from the Columbus Arts Council

· In addition to twice yearly concerts, the choirs sing for civic clubs, churches, major public events and nursing homes
